Practice Areas

- Business law deals with drafting contracts between commercial entities, forming business entities such as Corporations or Limited Liability Companies, or even business dissolutions.

- I represent local townships, cities, villages, counties in many different roles. I have experience as a city manager, municipal supervisor and union president.

Real Estate

- Real estate law can be anything from drafting deeds and land contracts to easements and purchase agreements. At times, it can evolve into litigation, such as a boundary dispute. I work closely with clients, realtors, title companies to make sure the job is done.

Family Law

- Family law can involve anything from divorce, custody of children and division of assets to prenuptial agreements. I recognize the emotional trauma and pain individuals suffer when going through a divorce. As a result, I offer my clients the time and the experience necessary to guide them through one of the most difficult experiences in their life. In every case, I first attempt to bring about a quick, civilized, fair and inexpensive resolution. However, if that cannot be accomplished, I offer aggressive professional representation, while in attending to the individual needs my clients.

Estate Planning/Probate

- I assist clients in identifying and achieving estate planning objectives; minimizing inconvenience to families at death of loved ones; minimizing impact of estate taxes; facilitating transfers of assets and business interests. Our estate and financial planning activities include wills, trusts, and durable powers of attorney. I take a particular interest in estate planning because it deals with taking care of the people we leave behind.
